Eagle's wings to the higher places
Published in Unknown Binding by Rahamah Publications ()
Average review score:

Hinds Feet in High PlacesThis is the most awesome book I have read in a long time. It has helped many people in my life understand how to benefit from spiritual warfare. It gives hope to the person that God is with them and helping them through when satan attacks them. It is sad that such a great author is no longer with us, but She is with the Lord and that gives us comfort.

Eagles - Their Greatest Hits
Published in Paperback by Warner Brothers Publications (July, 2000)
Average review score:

Guitar/Piano scoring, Excellent printing, good selectionThis book is written in standard Guitar/Piano format, where each line of music includes piano scores as well as guitar chord boxes (dots, no finger numbers) on top of the melody line. The 10 songs included in the selection are from 4 different albums, and copies of the album covers preceed the songs selected from that album. The printing is excellent, with a font that's good sized and easy on the eyes. There are generally four lines of music to a page. All the lyrics appear with the lines of music, making this an easy read for the beginner or memory impaired older player like myself. The songs are: Take It Easy, Witchy Woman, Lyin Eyes, Already Gone, Desperado, One of These Nights, Tequila Sunrise, Take It to the Limit, Peaceful Easy Feelin, The Best of my love. Overall, I found this to be an excellent book with a very good selection of popular Eagles tunes.

Eagles Complete

Flying high with the Eagles. Some song will float in your head for many minutes after it is done. When you hear the first several bars of music - at first you may not know the name of the song (or who sang it), but some where from deep inside of you the words come to your mouth and you sing along with the radio. The Eagles is one of those groups that had songs you will find yourself doing just that.

Eagles Nest
Published in Hardcover by Dufour Editions (December, 1976)
Average review score:

Hot and remoteI came to this novel after being mildly disappointed by'Ice'.. (I have since revised my impression of 'Ice'after reading it asecond time.) Where as 'Ice' is a cold and bitter novel about futile struggle 'Eagle's Nest' is hot, exotic and hallucinogenic. The naturally occurring 'drugs' that distort reality from time to time in the heat of the remote location our hero has fled to, create an eerie and lasting vision. And the flight from this place of apparent refuge returns the reader to the cold reality of everyday life - for me, with quite a jolt.

Eagles of America

School libraryDorothy Patent's book joins the other books in this genre for kids at the head of the list. The text is clear, interesting, and informative. The photos are wonderful. It has already been permanently borrowed from the library by a young fan. Our school is in Western Montana and the youngsters have a great interest in books about animals native to this part of the country. Ms Patent's other books are well-read here!

Eagles of Duxford: The 78th Fighter Group in World War II
Published in Hardcover by Phalanx Publishing Company, Inc. (November, 1991)
Average review score:

The Eagles of DuxfordThe 78th Fighter Group is owed a debt of gratitude by all who treasure freedom. The guys of the 78th cut a wide path thru the skies over France, Holland, and Germany to stem the tide of Facism in WWII. The book is one of only two that I would call "definitive" on the Americans and the missions they flew out of the famed Duxford Air Field in England. Duxford was home to the Americans who flew for the British before America entered the war. Lots of data, pictures, personal accounts. If you have even the faintest interest in what some of our boys were doing in WWII you will want to get this book. These guys put the daring in derring-do. If you have more than a faint interest in the material you should already have the book.

Emerald (Eagle Large Print)
Published in Hardcover by John Curley & Assoc (November, 1992)

If you like Hollywood name-droppers, this one is for you!Having just recently discovered Phyllis A. Whitney, I must admit she has conquered another loyal reader. A young woman almost conquered by a cruel husband flees with her son to save herself and her son from his cruelty. She runs to her great aunt's very secure fortress. But there she finds her safety in doubt as well as her aunt's, a former Hollywood star who quit the scene after her last movie entitled "Mirage." The secrets of the aunt's past coupled with the cruelty of the husband throws our heroine into many neat twists. The denoument is so very clever. As I read I found myself really getting into the mysteries of the star, but at the same time the tribulations of her niece were so complex and real. Once I started I had a hard time putting the novel down. Thank you Mrs. Whitney for some interesting reading while I sunned myself at the beach. I am ready for another installment of mystery and intrigue.

Ever the Eagle
Published in Paperback by PublishAmerica, Inc. (December, 2001)
Average review score:

Ever the EagleThis well-told tale about a hero/fighter pilot and his family during World War II and the Korean conflict is accurate in the details, believable, understandable and well organized. It is easy to put yourself in the place of Tommy Chandler as if taking part in his adventures. Tommy is an admirable man with human weaknesses and desires. He lives in highly dangerous times and performs as we would like to think that most of our countrymen would in such terrible circumstances. It is obvious that the author is a patriot with high morals, and his research was thorough.
